Life Chronicles of Dorothea Ïesj S.P.U. – Episode 1: On the morning of the Fifth Anniversary is the first episode of a science fiction audio work that follows scholar Dorothea Ïesj’s journey to the city of Baku. Drawing on the controversial realm of archaeoacoustics, the work narrates an imaginary future in which sound is extracted and recovered from objects and held in cities, underground, and in matter.
Cronache is part of a wider research project on self-recording, that ALMARE tried to summarize and present in this text supporting the fiction, useful to understand the resources used to build Dorothea’s world.

Cronache di vita di Dorothea Ïesj S.P.U. – Episodio 1: La Mattina del Quinto Anniversario è il primo episodio di un romanzo sonoro sci-fi incentrato sul viaggio della studiosa Dorothea Ïesj verso la città di Baku. Attingendo al controverso regno dell’archeoacustica, il lavoro racconta un futuro immaginario in cui il suono viene estratto e recuperato da oggetti e custodito nelle città, nel sottosuolo e nella materia.
Cronache fa parte di un più ampio progetto di ricerca sull’auto-registrazione che ALMARE ha cercato di riassumere e presentare in questo testo di supporto al racconto, utile a comprendere le fonti utilizzate per costruire il mondo di Dorothea.
